Bedford
With an estimated population of 12,814 people, Bedford is one of the smaller towns in greater Boston. Part of its land was originally incorporated into nearby Concord, and not surprisingly, Bedford’s proximity to that city gave it a role in the Revolutionary War. In fact, Bedford today is the home of the oldest surviving battle flag in the United States. The Bedford Flag, believed to be the first U.S. flag carried during the Revolutionary War, is on display at the town’s public library. Modern Bedford is about 21 miles from Boston and about 12 miles from Lowell, making it a good choice for families with jobs in one or both of those cities. Bedfordites are served by the Concord District Court in neighboring Concord, which handles legal matters for a total of eight Middlesex County cities.
The Law Offices of Stephen Neyman represents clients from Bedford and throughout eastern Massachusetts. We handle all types of crimes on behalf of people from every walk of life, from juveniles and students to older professionals. If you’re accused of a misdemeanor, such as traffic violations and the less serious forms of drunk driving, domestic violence and theft, we will likely be able to handle your case from the district court. If your case is filed as a felony, it will likely be resolved in the Middlesex Superior Court in Woburn or Lowell. However, we can still handle the early parts of your case in district court, and we strongly recommend that people from Bedford with a felony charge looming contact us for help.
Being accused of a crime can be frightening, especially if it’s the first time. Criminal charges carry penalties that can change your life, including jail or prison time, steep fines, probation and other limits on your freedom and more. They can also cause havoc with your job, your relationships, your standing in the community and even the way you see yourself. Facing all of this, and not knowing what the future may hold, can be upsetting and stressful for the accused and their families. If this is your situation, you should call the Law Offices of Stephen Neyman for help. Lead attorney Stephen Neyman has practiced criminal defense law for more than 20 years and has past experience as a prosecutor, so he understands the law and the system. He can explain what clients can expect in their cases, and help them build the best possible defense.
