Essex County

Essex County is located in the northeast region of Massachusetts. Its population hovers somewhere around three quarters of a million people. We have a satellite office in North Andover, one of the thirty six towns and cities in Essex County. In the year 2000 over 21,000 crimes were reported in this county. Over 10,000 were larceny related. There were over 4,400 motor vehicle thefts, 3,500 burglaries of slightly more than 3,000 violent crimes. Essex County includes the following towns and cities: Amesbury, Andover, Beverly, Boxford, Danvers, Essex, Georgetown, Gloucester, Groveland, Hamilton, Haverhill, Ipswich, Lawrence, Lynn, Lynnfield, Manchester, Marblehead, Merrimac, Methuen, Middleton, Nahant, Newbury, Newburyport, North Andover, Peabody, Rockport, Rowley, Salem, Salisbury, Saugus, Swampscott, Topsfield, Wenham and West Newbury. These courts, and in particular Salem, are overflowing with criminal cases. The trial sessions are always active. Juries are impaneled daily. These courts handle all crimes. Our office has defended virtually all of the crimes that are prosecuted in these courts for over two decades.

There are also seven District Courts in Essex County. Haverhill District Court, Ipswich District Court, Lawrence District Court, Lynn District Court, Newburyport District Court, Peabody District Court and Salem District Court. . Our office is easily accessible from all of the Essex County Superior Courts. From Salem, take Route 114 West to Route 128 South. Get onto Route 93 South and go over the Zakim Bridge into the Tip O'Neil tunnel. Get off at the first exit. Take an immediate left and your first right will be State Street. We are located one and one half blocks up on the right.
