Woburn
Woburn, Massachusetts is a town in Middlesex County of around 40,000 people located just 11 miles north of Boston. Just recently the Middlesex County Superior Court moved to Woburn from Cambridge. The town is also home to the Woburn District Court on Pleasant Street just off of Woburn Center. This court usually has two criminal sessions in operation. The first session sits on the first floor of the courthouse and typically handles restraining orders and pre-trial matters of a non-evidentiary nature. The second session is upstairs. This courtroom is most frequently used for trials and evidentiary motions. Sometimes on busy days the second session takes on some of the overflow from the first session.
